Vernon & Coldstream retaining wall contractor

Retaining Walls in Vernon & Coldstream

North Okanagan winters are tougher on a retaining wall than anywhere else in the valley. We build block, concrete and timber walls with the base and drainage to handle freeze, thaw and spring runoff.

✓ Frost-ready construction    ✓ Steep & tight sites    ✓ Workmanship warranty

Built for frost

Solid base prep and compacted gravel so freeze-thaw doesn’t heave your wall out of line.

Tough sites welcome

Steep, tight or awkward access? Our crew has already worked Coldstream hillsides.

Honest quotes

Line-by-line pricing with no hidden extras, plus a workmanship warranty.

What makes North Okanagan walls different

Vernon and Coldstream get more snow and colder winters than Kelowna or Penticton. Every spring that snowmelt soaks into the ground behind your wall, and every winter that wet ground freezes and expands. Walls built without proper drainage are the ones you see leaning, bulging or cracking a few years later.

That’s why every wall we build starts with a compacted gravel base, drain rock and perforated pipe behind the wall, and free-draining backfill. Water drains out before it has a chance to freeze and push.

From a Coldstream client

“Mountain goats” in Coldstream

Barb needed a concrete slab for her hot tub on a hard-to-reach Coldstream property. She called our crew professional and fast, and said we didn’t complain once about having to be “mountain goats” to get the job done.

That same attitude goes into every retaining wall we build up here. Tough access just means more planning.
